Picture StoryOnce, long ago, the area of Prince Edward County, Ontario Canada was covered in a dense forest made up of Hard Maples, white Pines and Oak. With the settlement of the area beginning around 200 years ago, much of the forest was harvested to make room for farming, and building materials. Besides the majestic trees, the spring forest floor is starting to come alive with new growth in the form of wildflowers, and ferns, all excellent subjects for forest photographers. Soon the canopy will grow in and the forest floor will remain in semi-dark until Autumn. If you use your imagination you can still feel what it was like when the land was covered by Kings of the forest.
